| What is the J1 Exchange training program? |

The purpose of the Exchange Training Program is to enable qualified foreign nationals to participate in training programs offered by host companies in the US.
|

|
|
|

StaffTree offers this program at no charge to all of the qualifying host companies.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
| |
The following conditions must be met by the hosting company:
- The ability to pay the trainee a stipend to support their living expenses while in the US
- The trainee must be treated fairly according to the US employment laws
- The candidate must be provided by the training program agenda & goals before the beginning of the program

The training program can last up to 18 months.

| How long will the process take? |

|
|

It takes up to eight weeks from the time we receive your application to the time the candidate arrives to US. This time is used to match you with the right qualified candidate, and to give the candidate enough time to obtain a visa, & travel to the US.

| StaffTree's role after the program starts: |

StaffTree will continue to keep in touch with both the hosting company and the trainee to ensure both parties continuing satisfaction with the training program.

Q. Do we have to provide a special training program for the J-1 candidate?
A. No. They can fill any available positions you have at the company that relates to their field of work / study.
Q. Does our company have to sponsor the trainee?
A. No. You only host the candidate for the duration of the training.
Q. Will StaffTree replace the trainee if we are not satisfied with their performance?
A. Although highly unlikely since that all candidates go under a thorough screening for their proficiency in English, customer service, business, among other skills, StaffTree will locate another candidate in the event of the employer's dissatisfaction.
Q. What is the educational level of the candidate?
A. StaffTree ensures that all candidates hold college degrees, and are proficient in spoken & written English.
Q. Can the trainee get a second job while on the training program?
A. No.
Q. Can the trainee get a Driver License while on the training program?
A. Yes. StaffTree will provide the candidates with information on how to obtain their Driver Licenses.
Q. Can the trainee get a Social Security card while on the program?
A. Yes. StaffTree will provide the candidates with information on how to obtain their Social Security cards.
Q. Can the trainee change his/her host company once they get to the US?
A. No, unless there is a breach of contract by the employer, the candidate has to continue training at the host company specified on their DS-2019 form for the duration of the training.
